It is possible to get some wonderfully evocative images of this special time that will give years of pleasure in the future.

To give you ideas for your photography session we would like to thank some recent clients who have allowed us to use these images by photographer Baron Bratby.

The best time to book your pregnancy portrait session is around four weeks before term. This will help ensure you get the largest ‘baby bump’ without too much risk of nature beating you to it!

RELAXED STUDIO BASED PHOTOGRAPHY

Include the family

It is best to keep clothing quite simple, we find a white shirt or blouse and simple white top work really well for the light and airy images. For the black backgrounds, a simple black top that can be pulled up allows the focus to be on the bump.

If you do not have the above something plain rather than with patterns. Avoid ‘logo’ tops as they date and do not work well in the profile.

We appreciate you are not a model but we are really rather good at putting people at ease and have many years of experience and always talk over what you feel comfortable doing. We can also arrange a female assistant for maternity shoots to ensure your modesty and help with posing.
